How do I import parents in bulk?

What you can do here

Upload a CSV of parents. "The CSV file should include a header row." The columns are "Forename", "Surname", "Username", "Password" and "Pupil 1"–"Pupil 3".

"You can also download a sample CSV file to use as a template."

The notes:

• "Forename & Surname are the names of the parent."
• "Username will be the email address of the parent… it must be unique to each parent. If a parent with the same username already exists, they will be updated."
• "Password should be different for each parent and should ideally consist of a mix of letters and numbers."
• "Pupils 1 - 3 (optional)… You can add up to three pupil accounts. If the pupil account does not exist, it will be ignored."

How to do it

1. Prepare your CSV in the format shown (download the sample if helpful).
2. Under "Start import", choose the file ("File").
3. Click "Import parents". "You will have the opportunity to confirm we have interpreted your data correctly before it is saved."
