How do I create a new form or year group?

What you can do here

Create a group. The fields are:

• "Name" (required: "Name is required") and "Tutor"
• A "Message" section: "Show a message to this group" and "Message" ("shown to pupils belonging to this group when they log in, unless they have an individual message set"), with a start date ("Select the Start Date you with to display your message from") and "Message Expiry Date"
• The notifications tick box: "Tick this box for the teacher linked to this form group to receive email notifications when pupils in this form group complete tests."
• "Subject access": "Specifying subjects here will override the School settings. If a pupil's subject access has been set at pupil account level, their settings will override those of the Group."

Then "Save" or "Cancel".

How to do it

1. Enter a "Name" and choose the "Tutor".
2. Optionally tick "Show a message to this group", write the "Message" and set the dates.
3. Optionally tick the notifications box.
4. Set "Subject access" if the group needs different subjects from the school.
5. Click "Save".
