What you can do here

  • "My Pupils" version:
    • At the top: "You have [number] subscription(s)", "Add a new pupil", "View overdue tests" and a "Guided Tour" button.
    • Search and filters: "Forename"/"Surname" with "Search". "Tutors", "Groups", "Status" ("Active", "Adaptive Starts", "Inactive") and "Show [n] per page", then "Filter". There's also "Export".
    • Table: "Status", "Mock Test Packs" and "Options". The Status column shows whether each pupil has an active subscription ("Pupils with no subscription will not be able to take tests"). The programs column shows "which of the BOFA programs (e.g. 11+, KS2) each pupil can access".
    • Options per pupil:
      • "Edit": "change their details or reset their password"
      • "Log in as": "switch to your pupils live account"; "to see what they see, or start them off with a test"
      • "View": "monitor their progress without going into their live account"
      • "Delete": "your pupil and all their test data… for all of our products"
      • "Pupil Summary": all subjects
      • "Pupil Subject Summary": you pick Maths/English/Verbal/Non-Verbal
      • "+ and –" buttons to "add or remove test packs"
    • Bulk: "With selected pupils", then "Go" ("Select one or more pupils using the checkboxes, then perform bulk operations").
    • Subscription pop-ups:
      • "This will automatically allocate your pupil to an available subscription": "If you have more than one active subscription then Select Subscription… otherwise press Activate Now."
      • Expired: "Press Activate now to assign to an available subscription. Or press Cancel…"
      • "This will allow you to edit the training period end date": "Edit Date"
      • "This will automatically remove your pupil from your subscription": "Remove Now"
    • Tutor-in-school limits: "As a tutor within a school, you can't manage subscriptions" / "you cannot delete pupils". "Please contact the schools' admin".
    • "Test Information" (Mock tips):
      • Do a Demo before each Mock
      • Pen and paper are allowed
      • A "five minutes remaining" warning appears
      • Extra time can be added
      • BOFA recommends completing Practice & Retest before a new Mock, and the full Mock in all subjects
      • "You can edit these features by selecting the edit button next to a pupil's name, then editing their Test Options; or when importing pupils."
    • After a purchase: "The next step is to activate your pupils… clicking on the Activate now button next to the pupil", then assign tests.
  • "My Children" version:
    • "Add a new child" and "View overdue tests". The table has "Name", "Status", "Mock Test Packs" and "Options": "Edit", "Log in as", "View", "Delete", "Child Summary" and "Child Subject Summary".
    • If none are linked: "You currently have no children linked to your account. Mock Tests can only be taken from a child's pupil account." "Create a new pupil account, or log into your child's existing school pupil account to request to link to your parent account from their 'my profile' page. Once requested log back into your parent account and accept the join request."
    • No subscription: "You do not currently have a subscription. Purchase a subscription in the shop."
    • "Note: Children must login to their own account with the username and password you setup for them to use the system."
    • Summaries may be restricted: "This child is linked to a school account who has restricted access to the summaries. Please contact the School Administrator…" (or "tutoring centre… Centre Administrator").
    • Pretest "Test Information":
      • "Pupils need to read the English extract within the 40 minutes, in line with the ISEB exam"
      • The clock is shown per the ISEB spec, with a five-minute warning ("You can remove the timer if desired")
      • Extra time can be added
      • Practice & Retest before a new Pretest
      • Complete all 4 subjects
    • The subscription pop-ups are the same, with "child" wording (including "edit the adaptive trial period end date").

How to do it

  1. Add: click "Add a new pupil" / "Add a new child".
  2. Put them on a subscription: use "Activate Now" (or "Select Subscription" if you have several).
  3. See their work: click "View" (progress), "Pupil Summary" / "Child Summary", or "Pupil Subject Summary" (then choose a subject).
  4. Sit with them: click "Log in as".
  5. Mock packs: use the "+" / "–" buttons in "Mock Test Packs".
  6. Many pupils at once: tick them, choose an action under "With selected pupils" and click "Go".
